Introduction
This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) describes how SpeakerBee (hereinafter referred to as “us”, “we” or “our”) collects and processes personal data in connection with your use of the Website, including the use of the features and options available herein.
The policy has been formulated and made available to comply with the Data Protection Regulation (2016/679 of 27 April 2016) (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”) and its rules on the obligation to provide information.
Collection of information through the use of cookies
- When visiting and using our website (s), cookies are collected and used on the basis of consent. Information in these cookies includes browser type, IP address, location at login as well as preference cookies. (hereinafter referred to as “Cookie Data”).
- Cookie data is used for analysis as well as for improving our website and user experience. We use a plugin from Vimeo to display videos on our website. In this regard, Vimeo places cookies that support the viewing of videos and their analysis.
- The use of cookies to collect information and data is also carried out in accordance with the Cookie Ordinance (No. 1148 of 9 December 2011), § 3.
If you wish to refuse or restrict the cookies placed on your computer when visiting our website, you can always do this by changing the settings in your browser. However, you should be aware that the refusal or restriction of cookies has an impact on the functionality of the website and will result in features on the website that you cannot see. Types of personal data processed We process personal data about you when this is relevant and in accordance with applicable law. Depending on the specific circumstances, the personal data processed may include the following types of personal data: name, e-mail address and IP address, as well as any personal data that you may enter in your description of yourself as a contributor or in comments to a post. We also process information about your mobile number and website, if you provide information about this in our contact form on our website. In addition, we process information about your IP address if, without logging in with a profile, you like or share a post or otherwise interact on the website, in particular because you as a user should not be able to like a post several times.
If you provide personal data about yourself in a comment on a post, we will retain that information. You are responsible for assessing what information about you you want shared and published. We do not collect sensitive personal data about you. If you provide sensitive personal data about your health, race, sexuality or trade union affiliation unsolicited, this information will only be stored by us and not actively processed. To the fullest extent possible, please refrain from providing sensitive personal data about you in a comment box or description of yourself. At the same time, please refrain from providing sensitive personal data about other persons, as this is contrary to applicable law and may be punishable by a fine.
We collect your personal data from you and, where appropriate, from external sources. For example, we collect token information from Facebook if you choose to register as a user with us through your Facebook profile.
If we need to collect and process additional personal data than stated above, we will inform you about this at the time of collection. Such information may also be provided by updating this Policy.
Purpose of processing personal data
We only process your personal data for legitimate purposes in accordance with GDPR. The personal data may, as appropriate, be processed for the following purposes:

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Our legitimate interests are to provide our users with an online knowledge-sharing platform where they can exchange knowledge on a given topic through live live-streaming of posts.
If we have asked for your consent to the processing of certain personal data, the basis for processing the specific personal data is your consent, cf. Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, in that consent can always be withdrawn by contacting us via the contact details provided at the bottom of this Policy, and if the consent is withdrawn, the personal data processed on the basis of the consent will be deleted, unless they can or must be processed, for example, to comply with a legal obligation.
Disclosure and transfer of personal data
We only disclose personal data to others when permitted or required by law, including when applicable and upon your specific request.
We transfer personal data to our hosting provider in connection with the provision of our services. In this regard, the hosting provider is a data processor for us and their processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with a data processing agreement. Our hosting provider is located both within the EU/EEA and outside the EU/EEA in the United States. Transfers of personal data to the United States are made on the basis of the EU Commission's standard contractual provisions.
We may be contacted for more information, including with questions about our use of data processors,, or disclosure of personal data to third countries, as well as to receive copies of documentation on the basis of transfer.
Deletion and storage of personal data
If you are logged in with token information from your Facebook user profile, you can remove this login to SpeakerBee via your Facebook user settings.
If you have logged into the website with your name and email address, we will not store this information as a profile when you leave the website. This means, among other things, that you have to register again the next time you visit the website and want to comment on a post. We store the questions and comments that you have previously asked or written in here. After 2 years from the time the comment in question has been posted, we delete the name under which you have written the comment. If you wish to have your name deleted from comments before the expiration of 2 years or wish to have your entire comment deleted, please send us an email at the email address found under the contact details at the bottom of this Policy.

Data subjects have a number of rights that we can help with. If you, as a registered person, want to exercise your rights, they must contact us. The rights include the following: Right to access (right of access): Data subjects have the right to access the data processed about them, as well as a number of additional information. Right to rectification (rectification): Data subjects have the right to have incorrect information about themselves corrected.
Right to erasure: In exceptional cases, data subjects have the right to have information about themselves deleted before the time of our regular general deletion. Right to restriction of processing: Data subjects have the right to have the processing of their personal data restricted in certain cases. If a data subject has the right to restrict the processing, we shall in future only process the data — other than storage — with consent, or for the purpose of establishing, asserting or defending legal claims, or for the protection of a person or important public interests.
Right of objection: In certain cases, data subjects have the right to object to our otherwise lawful processing of their personal data. The processing of information for direct marketing purposes may also be objected to.
Right to transmit information (data portability): Data subjects have the right in certain cases to receive their personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have this personal data transferred from one controller to another without hindrance.
